Romanian dogs (like the others) each have a different character, temperament. But they are all, the day of their arrival in France or in Belgium, tired by the trip in truck, surprised by the agitation, frightened by all these people who look at them but whom they do not know yet. They are therefore all likely to have surprising, unexpected, even aggressive reactions even if they are sociable and described as such.
This is why if you are embarking on the adoption of a dog from Romania from Alina and Anda's refuge, we are here to provide you with some advice to apply on the day of repatriation.

- You absolutely need to provide a transport crate, for the simple reason that no one can predict the reaction of a dog in such a situation.
When a dog is fearful and presents a risk of aggression, the dog is transferred directly from its crate in the truck to the transport crate you brought.
If the dog is not aggressive, remember that you don't know him and he doesn't know you either, that's why we ask you to put him in a cage for the rest of the way until at home, for a safe and safe journey, for you and for the dog.
- You must also have a harness the size of the dog (if possible), a collar, two leashes and his tag with your phone number and his little name. No retractable leash !.
If the harness or collar turns out to be too small or too large, you will still have a leash attached to either.
The harness must be a secure harness, therefore it is forbidden to come with a Julius or similar harness. Classic harnesses or Animalin harnesses for example are great for teaching a sociable dog to walk on a leash but are not suitable for a potentially scared Romanian dog because, like Julius harnesses, dogs can escape easily.
